Involvement

Residents of The Quadrangle are deeply committed to shaping the community in which they live. For many, this means involvement in one of the resident committees, which meet periodically to discuss ongoing programs or are formed ad hoc when decisions need to be made that will affect the community as a whole. All residents are invited to take part in these existing committees or to form new ones. Some resident committees include:

  • Dining: Provides input to The Quadrangle's dining staff regarding theme dinners, special meal requests, and menu options
  • Trips & Events: Plans trips throughout the Delaware Valley for residents
  • Art: Plans and publicizes The Quadrangle art shows and craft fairs

The Quadrangle also offers residents opportunities to serve the community through volunteerism. Residents currently contribute their time and talents to the following:

  • Library: The Quadrangle's extensive library is fully staffed by volunteer residents who can assist others in borrowing books, finding reading material, and even research.
  • Gift Shop: Visitors, staff, and residents can purchase clothing, jewelry, candy, and cards here.
  • "Fibber McGee & Molly": Named after the radio comedy, this secondhand store benefits The Resident Assistance Fund, which aids residents who have financial difficulty.
  • Medical Clinic and Holly House: Residents are instrumental in comforting members of the community who are ill.
